Afolabi Grace is a computer scientist turned fashion designer at Folabi Grace. She discovered her passion for designing at the age of 10. She would imagine herself making designs like the ones she saw on magazines. As a kid, she would make small outfit from pieces she picked up from her tailor’s shop and sometimes change the style on a dress she already owned.

Her passion for the fashion world was also influenced by an undergraduate job as an online content contributor at Glam Africa magazine. She wrote about successful designers and their pieces and as time went on she decided to embark on her journey by acquiring a formal training. She attended Nitsol Fashion Institute and at the age of 21, she started her own business and serves her clients with bespoke and readymade services. Some of the brands she looks up to in the fashion industry are April by Kunbi, Wana Sambo and Toju Foyeh.

Happy Sunday lovers! How has been your weekend and I hope you are anticipating Monday ???. I had a stressful saturday, walking in the nook and crannies of Lagos Island Market is not easy, but I love it?.

I have been gifted this top (my Twinnie) since say 2017, not sure but its that old. I’m pairing it with a skirt from Folabi Grace.

Wearing pieces of the same hue will elevate even the most casual ensemble. It makes simple outfit looks more sophisticated when every element is the same shade, so don’t be afraid to opt for basics.

You can accessories one shade of a coordinated with contrasting or pop of colors.
